Research Support - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School is seeking a Work Assistant for Pharmacology, Physiology and Neuroscience. Under supervision performs and assists with laboratory services and procedures in support of research activities of the laboratory.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Design and synthesize small molecule antitubercular agents.
Assists in packing, unpacking, storage and maintenance of lab supplies and materials.
Ensures that glassware and equipment are kept clean and are properly stored.
Prepares stock solutions and buffers.
Assists with the maintenance of laboratory facilities, equipment and instruments.
Initiates inventory control of laboratory supplies, prepares and processes orders for supplies as needed.
Keeps detailed records of procedures and experiments. Required to compile data and present results.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
One (1) year of prior laboratory experience or Bachelor's Degree a related field.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform job duties.
Salary: $10 per hour
