The Department of Chemistry in the College of Natural and Health Sciences is seeking an applicant for an Assistant Professor, 9-month, tenure-track position to contribute to our team in research, instruction and other academic activities that enhance professional growth and development. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will teach a full academic load (12 hours per semester); the specific focus for this position is the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses (instructional assignments may include lab courses); will have the duty to comply with the Universityâs regulations and rules governing teaching, research, and service; will conduct relevant research in the discipline; will advise and mentor undergraduate students; will recruit and retain students; will serve on university, departmental, and school committees; will promote the Department at campus and community events; and other duties assigned by the Department Chairperson.
