Columbia World Projects seeks to hire a Short Term Casual - Program Assistant to perform various administrative duties and is charged with creating a welcoming and responsive office culture dedicated to the highest level of customer service. The Program Assistant reports directly to the Assistant Director of Human Resources and Administration who will coordinate with CWP staff to generate assignments and tasks.
The position will last approximately 4 months or no more than 560 hours (whichever comes first).
Assesses need for office and equipment supplies for CWP's two sites (Nash Building and The Forum)
Orders all needed office and equipment supplies for CWP's two sites
Develops and updates inventory list of equipment used at CWP
Interfaces and communicates with several departments (i.e., CUIT, CUHR, Facilities, etc.) with the aim of troubleshooting and resolving operational/administrative issues
Hand-delivers or arranges for the pick-up of time-sensitive and confidential documents to and from external departments such as Human Resources, Office of the President, Office of the General Counsel, Office of Management and Budgets, and other various campus offices in Manhattanville, Morningside, or Medical Center (Washington Heights)
Obtains necessary approvals for purchase orders, contracts, and other documents
Assists with maintaining files, data tracking systems and ad-hoc reports
Assists with organizing data and data collection for entry into university systems (ARC, PAC, PeopleSoft)
Other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or its equivalent required. Minimum of two years related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. Some college preferred.
Strong organizational skills. Attention to detail is crucial.
Strong Communication Skills. Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and the ability to work with senior, mid-level staffs and managers required. Must have excellent communications skills for writing emails
Above average Computer Skills
