Provides direct administrative support for faculty in academic departments and for the ASG DAO. Duties may include:
Using PCard in accordance with University and local policies and procedures.
Assisting with invoices, reimbursements, and corporate card payments.
Assisting with financial reports and reconciling expenses.
Assisting with processing of General Ledger journal entries.
Ordering printing services for business cards, stationery, etc.
Assisting with updating lecture and course materials.
Assisting with setup and maintenance of course and faculty websites.
Conducting library research and pickup/delivery of books and other materials.
Composing, proofreading, and editing correspondence.
Coordinating and sending letters of recommendation and other mailings.
Scheduling rooms for courses and exams.
Copying, printing, scanning, faxing, filing, and shredding materials.
Ordering books and office supplies.
Providing timely information on University and local policies and procedures.
Coordinating events and placing catering/food orders.
Tracking and retaining records of faculty supported and services provided.
Contributes to unit efforts by accomplishing related duties as required.
The ASG is a shared service model that provides faculty assistance and other support services to academic departments within the Division of Social Sciences. Staff members work remotely, providing services to departments and faculty located elsewhere on campus.
This is a 6 month term position.

3 years administrative experience required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus three years of proven office administration and customer service experience preferred. Strong MS Office skills. Solid writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally with diverse constituency. Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion. Ability to work across teams and with a variety of projects. Ability to make pick-ups and drop-offs of books and other materials from various buildings on campus. Familiarity with Harvard policies and financial systems a plus.
