The Senior Financial Specialist in the Office of Sponsored Programs is responsible for facilitating fee-for-service agreements and activities at the University. Duties include conducting market analysis, developing cost models and ensuring fee-for-service activities are aligned with University priorities and guidelines. Additional responsibilities include communicating with faculty, administrators, and external entities to collect information about projects, ensuring adherence to University practices. A qualified candidate should have three to five years of experience in accounting, preferably in an academic setting. A bachelor's degree is required, and a master's degree is preferred.
Masters preferred. Must have 3-5 years' relevant experience in accounting, preferably in an academic or university setting. Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
Department Details : The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), a central office reporting to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Research, is charged with assisting faculty, staff, and students in their efforts to promote and secure sponsored research funding. The OSP reviews, negotiates, endorses, and provides administrative oversight related to proposals and awards in accordance with all applicable laws, policies and regulations. The Vice Chancellor for Sponsored Programs and Research Operations of the Office of Sponsored Programs serves as the designated University Officer empowered for all sponsored research activities.
