The Human Capital Management (HCM)/Financials Senior Solutions Analyst plays a central role in the overall strategy, planning, implementation, coordination and maintenance of technical solutions meant to support the institution’s Financial, Human Resources (HR) and Payroll-based business operations. This is a senior level role that will partner with operational areas that utilize PeopleSoft and other third-party software solutions to address on-going business process needs. This person will facilitate, guide, and coach a group of highly skilled technical and business professionals in the use and evolution of systems in support of Financial and HR/Payroll-based initiatives. The HCM/Financials Senior Solutions Analyst will provide technical counsel and guidance on topics and projects related to solutions supporting Financials, HR/Payroll-based initiatives to senior management.
• Serve as technical lead in a highly matrixed environment in the on-going development and sustainable engineering of Financial and HR/Payroll-based technical solutions • Contribute to the advancement of a shared vision for the overall technical architecture by working with a variety of campus constituents • Facilitate technology architecture, design, and development decisions that align with operational needs and business processes • Serve as a senior member of the Enterprise Solutions Team; is a “go to” person for technical questions related to Financial and HR/Payroll-based business processes • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to HWS staff on institutional Financial and HR/Payroll-based initiatives • Develop technical resolutions to support and enhance Financial and HR/Payroll-based operational processes, and work to implement new operational processes as needed by the user community • React quickly to new opportunities for extending the use of enterprise solutions throughout the institution • Provide superior customer service to all user constituent groups • Stay informed of new technology developments regarding PeopleSoft and other enterprise solutions and makes recommendations on how best to respond to these new developments • Provide input into the annual financial budgeting process
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration or applicable years of experience • 5+ years experience in the implementation of multi-tiered enterprise systems, data architecture, and an overall solutions development methodology • 5+ years overall experience in software development and systems architecture • 3+ years PeopleSoft experience required • 3+ years supporting HR/Payroll-based technical solutions preferred • 3+ years supporting Financials-based technical solutions preferred • 2+ years technical experience in PeopleSoft implementations preferred • 2+ years technical experience with relational databases • 2+ years experience in a technical lead role • 1+ years experience in Higher Education setting is a plus • Experience participating/leading a PeopleSoft upgrade preferred • Experience with HCM in PeopleSoft 9.0 or higher preferred • Experience with Financials in PeopleSoft 9.0 or higher preferred • Experience with PeopleSoft’s FLUID interface preferred • 2+ years direct experience with PeopleSoft development tools Process Scheduler, Application Designer, Application Engine, Application Messaging, Component Interface, and PeopleCode is a plus. • Demonstrated experience in written and interpersonal communication skills to include facilitating meetings, writing status reports, developing project plans, and generating cost estimates.
This is a full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible administrative position. Some on-call hours required. Some weekend and evening hours may be necessary. The position is located in Geneva, NY. This position description is not all-inclusive as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned.
