Detailed Job Description

Reporting to the NTID Director of Admissions and working closely with NTID's Communications, Marketing and Multimedia Services and Pre-College Outreach departments, the Lead Generation and Relationship Development Specialist is responsible for finding prospective students and their families and fostering relationships with them to further their awareness of and interest in RIT/NTID and its programs.

The Relationship Development and Lead Generation Specialist also will be responsible for coordinating a parent program that connects parents of current RIT/NTID students with parents of prospective students via phone, email, or in person events such as receptions, luncheons, etc,


Required Minimum Qualifications

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build a genuine rapport with prospects over the phone/videophone and via email or other communication vehicles
Strong drive and resourceful in employing new approaches to find prospective students and foster relationships with them and their families
Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities and/or projects
Ability to problem-solve and identify process efficiencies and improvements
American Sign Language and familiarity with Deaf culture or ability to achieve fluency within three years
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to prioritize and make independent decisions
Ability to establish and maintain a variety of working relationships
