University Advancementâs USC Alumni Association (USCAA) is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and enterprising professional for the position of Manager of Alumni Affinity Programs to join its team.
The Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of assigned Affinity Program organizations and events and works closely with a variety of volunteer committees and leaders to produce successful alumni engagement programs.
The position reports to the Director of Alumni Affinity Programs and works closely with the Regional, Engagement and Affinity Programs (REAP) team within the USC Alumni Association to engage alumni lifelong and worldwide.
The candidate must be independently creative, able to produce, manage and support USC Alumni events and volunteer programs, and flawlessly coordinate them. Relevant areas of experience include: volunteer management, budgeting, marketing, and event coordination. The job requires regular evening and weekend work and occasional domestic travel.
Key Areas of Responsibility Include:
Plans, implements and manages specific public relations events, activities, projects and/or programs to enhance the public's awareness of the university, or students, faculty, staff and/or alumni of the university. Participates in development of public relations goals, plans and strategies.
Works closely with Director of Alumni Affinity Programs to plan, write, edit, produce and present informational material.
Contributes to development of departmentâs operating budget(s). Manages program, project and/or event budget(s).
Represents University or department at professional meetings, conferences, seminars and other events. Develops and maintains contacts with University officials, media representatives, community leaders and professional colleagues. Maintains currency with professional organizations and publications.
Negotiates licenses and/or vendor contracts, as assigned.
Coordinates appropriate use of University and/or department logos, emblems and indicia.
Responsible for working with and managing volunteers on a day to day basis.
Assist Director of Alumni Affinity Programs with student outreach programming and initiatives.
Provides administrative support for the Engagement Team.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
