This position is responsible for maintaining and managing the financial reporting for the MECC Foundation, other affiliated foundations, and any grant or contracts administered by the Office of Institutional Advancement to ensure accountability to private donors, state and federal funding agencies, and to maintain compliance with VCCS policies, applicable college, state and federal regulations and policies. Will serve as the operating accountant for the governmental grants and private funds administered the MECC Foundation and other affiliated foundations while ensuring compliance REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. About Mountain Empire Community College
Mountain Empire Community College is a comprehensive two-year college serving residents of Lee, Scott, Wise, and Dickenson counties, and the City of Norton. MECC is one of twenty-three colleges in the Virginia Community College System and operates under policies established by the State Board for Community Colleges and the Local Advisory Board. The College is financed primarily with state funds, supplemented by contributions from the local jurisdictions.
