The successful candidates will be responsible for developing and teaching project-based courses in the ECE curriculum. Hence, candidates must have strong commitment to excellence in teaching, a proven record of, or exceptional potential for developing innovative pedagogical approaches, courses, labs, and projects for a modern ECE curriculum. Ideal candidates must also embrace interdisciplinary collaborations, work with multi-disciplinary student and faculty teams, have excellent communication skills, and have a genuine interest in student mentoring.

The Department greatly values experiential and project-based learning, integrating emerging topics and technologies into the curriculum, and provides state-of-the-art equipment, instruments, rapid prototyping, fabrication and computational resources to support such activities. Our dedication to project-based learning is reflected in our curriculum, as all our courses have lab/project components. As a result, we seek individuals who share this dedication, have the skills and passion to develop and deliver innovative hands-on lab projects and other experiential learning activities using appropriate modern tools. The position also includes service responsibilities, such as helping with the Department’s assessment activities. Therefore, any experience with assessment, pedagogy and scholarship of engineering education would be very valuable. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to be involved with student projects in the Rowan Engineering Clinic sequence, and – if interested – contribute to the scholarly activities of our faculty and students.
Applicants must have earned at least a Master of Science degree, preferably a PhD, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline. The appointment is non-tenure track, with renewable multi-year contracts, based on performance, departmental needs and university and budgetary approvals.
