IT Specialist I - UTIA Information Technology Services
Information Technology Services (ITS) at the UT Institute of Agriculture (UTIA) invites applications for 2 positions for IT Specialist I. Each of these 2 positions are full-time, non-exempt positions with a limited duration appointment for 15 months. Pay grade 38.
ITS works with many stakeholders throughout UTIA and at University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK). The primary purpose of this position is to create effective, dynamic, and informative websites and provide technical web support for UT Extension and its departmental outreach, educational, and research activities. This position will be involved in designing, creating, building high-quality, informational web sites by migrating or redesigning websites from SharePoint to UTIA's institutional WordPress platform. This position will be directly involved in collaborating, managing, transitioning websites, attending team meetings, working with content owners, and assisting/leading with training. This position will be responsible for organizing, planning, and leading small to medium-sized migration projects. This position may participate in organizing and planning aspects of large-sized migration projects. Provide leadership for a program of activities that meets the needs of all eligible clientele regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion or veteran status.
