Carleton College is seeking an Accessibility Specialist that will promote access to the Carleton curricular, co-curricular, residential, and campus employment opportunities for students with disabilities. This position will maintain a caseload of students with disabilities, conduct the interactive process, review assessment reports and documentation from providers, determine and communicate accommodations, and provide coaching and support to students with disabilities. The Accessibility Specialist will also collaborate with faculty and staff to support implementation of accommodations for students.
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and one or more years of disability-related experience. Must have the demonstrated knowledge, training, and experience in State and Federal laws related to disability. A master’s degree in disability studies or a related field and two years of disability work experience in higher education is preferred.
This is an 11-month (0.92 FTE) benefit eligible position with the distribution of work hours re-evaluated annually. Start date as soon as possible.
