The Bachelor of Social Work Program at St. Ambrose University invites applications for a 10-month clinical professor position in Social Work, beginning August 1, 2020. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with university partners, student advising, university and community service, scholarship, and ability to teach across the Bachelor of Social Work curriculum and throughout the School of Social Work at St. Ambrose University. One of seven health science departments within the College of Health and Human Services, the School is located in a supportive, collaborative environment with a strong focus on teaching as well as support for scholarship. Multiple interprofessional learning events and numerous outreach services enhance the student experience. This BSW Program is a new addition to the School of Social Work at St. Ambrose, which has offered a well-established MSW program in part-time hybrid, full-time and advanced standing programs since 1997. Additionally, the School values self-directed community involvement, inter-professional collaboration and active professional development for faculty and staff. The position requires an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program. A minimum of two years post-MSW direct practice experience is required and evidence of effective teaching is essential.
