Advertised Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, and reporting to the interim Chief Development Officer, the Assistant Vice President for Development will be responsible for the execution, management and oversight for fundraising priorities for several schools and colleges. The AVP will build a prospect portfolio and solicit major and principal gifts in support of those priorities. Responsibilities include the management of professional and administrative development staff in planning, implementing, coordinating and administering comprehensive development programs with an emphasis on major gifts. Works with deans, department chairs, faculty, alumni and volunteers in fundraising efforts to secure major gifts. This position also serves on the UofSC Development Leadership Team.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of major gifts experience with emphasis focused on schools/colleges with supervisory experience. This position is required to travel, work evenings and weekends. Must have a valid driver's license.
