THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY ResponsibilitiesThe Radiation Oncology Nurse Manager collaborates with the Executive Director of Oncology Services, the Clinical Oncology Services Director for the Comprehensive Cancer Center, Medical Director of Radiation Oncology to support excellence and functioning of the Pediatrics and Adolescent and Young Adult programs as a whole. The Radiation Oncology Nurse Manager has direct oversight and responsibility for the RNs, Case Managers and Sr. LVNs in Radiation Oncology and indirect oversight for the Dietitians and Social Workers that work within the unit. This position also interacts with the entire multidisciplinary clinical teams to assure clinical excellence and smooth coordination of patient care. Programmatically, the Radiation Oncology Nurse Manager will assist in the growth and development, expansion or new program offerings including, but not limited to: brachytherapy program, SpaceOAR, additional weekend hours, additional weekday hours, etc.
Must have 3 years of oncology nursing experience in inpatient or outpatient setting. (Ex: clinic/case management, infusion, radiation oncology)
Minimum of 2 years of nursing management experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In addition, Master's degree in nursing or other related field. If Master's degree is not completed, applicant must complete within three years of hire.
Valid California RN license.
Radiology Oncology experience.
Oncology Management experience
Oncology Certified RN.
Special Requirements This positions may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen,live scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
