Position Summary: Incumbent is responsible for assisting with the direction of the Medical Center's financial planning program, the operations and capital budget process and decision support services. Provides vital financial analysis, planning, evaluation and performance monitoring services that support the organization's short and long term tactical and strategic planning efforts. Develops complex budgets, forecasting scenarios, long range planning and analysis for financial reporting and presentations for executive management.
Rate Minimum $93,200.00 Maximum $235,400.00

Directs the development and maintenance of the decision support and financial planning systems including product upgrades, data processing, ensuring data quality and integrity and the accuracy of costing and reimbursement information. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of maintenance of the costing function, including RVU updates as well as benchmarking reporting and submission.
Directs the preparation and administrative review of the annual health system budget in cooperation with senior management, physicians and department heads for salaries, supplies and services, revenues, services lines, units of service and capital expenditures.
Directs the preparation and analysis of monthly financial management reports for distribution to senior management and department heads. Identifies sources for accumulation of key statistics and financial data, both internal and external, necessary for senior management to make decisions.

Required Qualifications: Ability to accurately analyze complex financial and accounting data and effectively communicate it to a wide variety of executives, faculty, and other constituents in lay termsAbility to develop financial and operational systems to accurately monitor and control organizational activitiesAbility to organize and prioritize work for self and othersBachelor's degreeDelegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnelEffective report writing and presentation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishSignificant experience with and understanding of health care information technology, including clinical information systemsSignificant experience with decision support systems (Eclipsys Epsi, MedAssets, or McKessen)Significant experience with financial planning and decision support systems (Strata, Epsi or Axiom)Strong technical knowledge and skills in financial analysis, cost accounting, management accounting, reimbursement methodologies, and healthcare economicsStrong working knowledge of process improvement principles and change management methodsThree or more year's management experience in finance in a healthcare or relevant setting.Universal knowledge of general and fund accounting
Preferred Qualifications: Leadership or relevant management consulting experience in an academic medical center or complex teaching environment.Masters degree in business administration, health administration, CPA, or other relevant degree program
