Job Description Summary: The Recruitment Coordinator prepares annual marketing and recruitment plans and carries out various student and corporate recruitment activities in support of student admissions to the University. Counsels prospective students regarding the University's programs, policies, procedures and services. Selects and participates in recruitment events to promote the University's degree programs. Reports to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree Experience working with adult students. Knowledge of principles/practices of recruitment for adult students. Experience working in both the academic and corporate environments are considered positive. Knowledge of higher education admission practices preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to exercise critical human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with the University community. Ability to travel is essential. Detail oriented.

Essential Duties Assists prospective undergraduate and graduate students from all areas of study within various phases of the enrollment and registration process. Articulates university academic policies and procedures to students. Plans and implements student recruitment strategies, programs and related activities; manages and conducts recruitment efforts for an assigned geographic area, assists with recruitment mailings and communication plan. Develops relationships with corporations, community organizations and professional organizations in order to increase the Universitys visibility within the community and recruit new students. Evaluates prospective students academic profile for admission into the University. Creates opportunities for involvement in educational fairs and participates in selected events. Sets up strategic schedule for attending community events and calling on corporate and individual prospects. Plans and coordinates campus recruitment events. Prepares and coordinates media relations with the Director of Admissions to include newsletters, advertisements, press releases and internet accession. Works with Director to develop marketing and recruitment materials to enhance visibility of the extended site experience. An integral member of both the undergraduate and graduate admissions team, this position requires participation in creating new strategies to meet the teams overall enrollment goals.
