The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine in the Division of Molecular and Translational Biomedicine seeks to fill the position of Professor (tenure earning or tenured). Researcher will perform high impact research on acute lung injury and repair which extends from the bench to the bedside; write, submit and secure extramural NIH-type grants (both R01 and multi-investigator program-projects). Participate in the training of graduate students, residents and fellows. Researcher will also deliver a small number of lectures to medical and graduate students; participate in various departmental, SOM and University wide committees. Candidates are expected to support 70% of the salary and fringe benefits from extramural grants.
