Department Name: 7H670:PEDIATRICS - UK METABOLIC DIVISION
The Genetics/Metabolic division, under the Department of Pediatrics, seeks a Genetic Counselor to assist providers and multidisciplinary team with patient care in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
Responsibilities include: Assist physicians in identifying family history; apply state of the art testing and modalities to identify relative risks and specific genetic counseling.
This role will also provide patient coordination, communicating with physicians on recommendations for revising laboratory orders, as well as limitations/accuracy of the tests ordered.
Disclose results of genetic testing and provides education regarding diagnosis.
Writing skills, Excel, Windows.

Required Related Experience:
No experience required.
Required License/Registration/Certification :
Certified Genetic Counselor eligible
Masters in Genetic Counseling plus one or more years related experience preferred.
