Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a motivated Per Diem Temporary Research Assistant for the Pediatrics Department within the New Jersey Medical School. The Temporary Research Assistant will conduct specialized epidemiologic surveillance and research under the supervision and direction of the study investigator.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Maintains confidentiality of information.
Adheres to field procedures as stipulated in the NJ Autism Study Field guide.
Abstracts onto computerized abstraction forms relevant medical, sociodemographic and diagnostic information.
Edits data, checks printouts, codes and prepares data for upload to main database.
Performs basic functions on the computer in Microsoft programs, such as: Access, Word and Excel.
Assists in data analysis.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant area such as : Psychology, Medicine, Public Health, Education.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.
Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Suite.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
CITI (human subjects research) certification
Salary: $20 per hour
