This Director of Administration will facilitate the Libraries’ growth as an innovative learning organization and promote a culture of excellence through planning and leadership. The successful candidate will direct comprehensive, customer-driven Libraries personnel services that support the mission and vision of Syracuse University and SU Libraries and will provide leadership and knowledge in library-wide planning and organizational development activities. The incumbent will serve on the Libraries’ Management Team and supervise two full-time employees. Major responsibilities for this position include: serving as the Libraries’ strategic leader in all personnel and labor relations activities; coordinating and guiding efforts to define, understand, assess, foster, and cultivate diversity, equity and inclusion among Libraries’ staff; overseeing all departmental payroll procedures; and administering the Libraries’ professional development efforts.
