The NYU Office of the Senior Vice Provost for Research/Sponsored Programs Systems Analyst supports the maintenance, and upgrade of research administration computing resources to ensure efficient, accurate system to system operations and reporting for research administration and sponsored project activity. Maintain, analyze and repair hardware and software systems and applications. Register and support internal and external system users, sponsors and institutions in the various vendor portals and internal systems and applications. Troubleshoot problems including identifying causes via creation of queries and reports against Information Technology Services to ensure timely corrections are made. Maintain inventory of all hardware and software and make recommendations for upgrades and or changes in systems.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: 3+ years Professional level experience including development of client/server systems or an equivalent combination. Must include experience with development of applications on a relational database management system, programming, and troubleshooting problems.
Preferred Experience: 3+ years Experience with web-based applications. Preferred experience with ETL and relational database programming (SQL Server-SSMS).
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills. Ability to work with users to identify problems and develop solutions. Knowledge of Microsoft Word/ Excel/Access Basic.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft IIS.
