The Husky Den Manager serves a key role in providing a variety of quick and convenient cuisines for students, staff, faculty and guests. The Husky Den is located centrally on the UW Campus within the Husky Union Building (HUB). The Husky Den venues include Firecracker, Dub Street, Husky Den, Moto Surf, Crafted, and Bahn and Naan. Three years of experience managing a multi-unit dining location serving a variety of cuisines. This experience will include:*Responsibility for compliance with state and federal laws and regulations related to health and safety and finance, including the Fair Labor Standards Act.*Success using a comprehensive food service management system for purchasing, inventory, production and service. *Supervision of culinary and non-culinary professionals*Building successful relationships with peers and internal customers.*Resolving employee and customer complaints.*Writing letters, memos, policies and procedures.*Interpreting and applying union contract provisions.*Interviewing, selecting and hiring professional, culinary and service staff.
