Job Summary The Thomson Lab is seeking a Research Scientist to perform theoretical and computational modeling work at the intersection of active soft matter, computer science, and biology. This is a 2 year term position.
Job Duties - Develop mechanical fluid dynamics models. - Compare models and analyze data. - Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in physics, biophysics, applied math, computer science, or another related field. - Strong theoretical and mathematical background.
Preferred Qualifications - Masters or PhD. - Interest in the application of concepts from information theory and computer science to non-equilibrium physical/biological systems. - An interest in soft matter physics, condensed matter, or fluid dynamics will helpful for this position.
