Advertised Job Summary:
The Medical Director is responsible for all aspects of clinic function, including quality of care, peer review, scope of care, services provided, clinical staffing, supervision of staff, budgeting and day to day operations of Primary Care, Women's Health and Sports Medicine. The Medical Director is responsible for team care, and the integration of prevention, wellness and mental health services to support the PCHM. Provides strategic leadership and works with other SHS offices to advance quality care, access and best practices to support student's health and well-being. We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment which is diverse, inclusive and culturally informed. In collaboration with the Executive Director, and University's Emergency Management Team serves as adviser and public health authority for the university. The position has significant involvement in overseeing the accreditation process. Provides clinical care. Serves as essential personnel in an emergency or campus crisis.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Graduation from accredited medical school and completion of internship and/or residency training. Licensed physician to practice medicine in the State of South Carolina (or eligible) and 3 years experience. Specialty Board Certification, unrestricted DEA, ACLS are required. Must obtain and maintain credentialing, privileging and board certification as condition of continued employment.
