Provides technical and self-directed programming support for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Applications, including: monitoring system performance, data integrity, identifying system's changes, making recommendations, and coding features. Must be highly knowledgeable of databases, querying (SQL) and proper design.
This position focuses on projects in direct support of technology used by Students, Administration, Faculty and Research. Develops reports and extracts data from the College's systems. Maintains custom objects, technical configuration, documentation, security administration, and updating/patching systems. Stays abreast of system changes.
Works independently as well as with other programmers and end-users to complete goals.
Education: Associate's Degree in IT or a related field, plus at least 2 years' programming experience required. Experience:

Excellent communication skills, which include the ability to engage in dialog to assess need, explore solutions and then communicate plans and outcomes. This also includes writing skills, with the ability to communicate via e-mail, document process and report results.
Initiative, flexibility, and good interpersonal skills.
General purpose programming and coding experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Knowledge of industry and Higher Ed technical best practices.
Knowledge of and experience working in Oracle database.
Knowledge and/or experience with vendor supplied applications, particularly in Higher Ed.
