The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Thurston Arthritis Research Center (TARC) Clinical Trials Team has an immediate job opening for a Permanent Full-Time Research Associate.
Duties will include clinical trials research protocol development, grant administration (application writing and submission, budget development, etc.), preparing presentations and manuscripts, managing translational bio-banks and databases, and other administrative and regulatory tasks that may arise.
Education and Experience:
This position requires an experienced professional who is a critical thinker and has the ability to present complex medical/scientific information concisely. They must thrive in a fast paced environment without losing attention to detail, enjoy working in a team and be able to interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, educational, and cultural backgrounds. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills along with proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred qualifications include previous experience in translational/bench-to-bedside research and academic/scholarly grant writing as well as demonstrated successful writing experience.
