The Information Delivery Manager oversees the portfolio of reporting capabilities that support institutional decision making for key business processes for student enrollment, human resources, and financial management functions. This position oversees the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the infrastructure and platforms required for enterprise data warehousing and reporting applications at Ohio University. Partners with stakeholders that manage student and business applications to understand evolving processes in order to anticipate and fulfill reporting needs. Works with service providers to ensure the accuracy and optimize the performance of data extracts from ERP systems for integrations, master data and identity management systems, third party applications, and custom applications. Leads highly complex, concurrent projects for multiple constituencies. Develops standards and guidelines that direct day to day operations of the Information Delivery team. Requires a deep understanding of enterprise scale IT systems and services, a working knowledge of Enrollment Management, HR, Financial and other administrative business processes in a higher education environment, and a well-developed personnel management practice.
Duties include: 1.Recruit, hire, and develop team members. Define roles and responsibilities; ensure team members understand their jobs and how performance will be measured. Evaluate team performance and provide feedback using formal and informal channels. Identify and mentor future leaders; devise strategies for succession planning and operational continuity. Ensure staff receive the training and support they need to develop technical skills for current and future needs. Foster a culture of exceptional customer service. 2.Lead the design, development, evolution, and operation of solutions in the enterprise data warehouse, operational data stores, and reporting platforms utilizing industry best practices. Coordinate resources and prioritize and plan work. Manage the resolution of complex issues that involve multiple technical resources. Initiate and lead medium to large service change or improvement projects. 3.Inspire the adoption and effective use of technology solutions that support data warehousing and data analytics functions. Develop, implement, and refine strategies to reduce barriers to technology adoption and provide training and performance support resources to team members that are effective, efficient, and aligned with institutional objectives and end user needs. 4.Maintain current working knowledge of trends in data analytics solutions for higher education. Provide leadership in the evolution of service strategies and objectives, and in the formulation of service roadmaps. Participate in the process of defining, updating, and monitoring service level agreements. Engage in the process of managing service costs. 5.Other duties as assigned.
1+ years of management experience
6+ years in the Information Technology field or in a non-technical field as either a leader or a liaison that has worked very closely with IT
3+ years' experience in a field with a significant focus on data, including but not limited to supporting data warehousing, analytical platforms, ERP systems, or CRM systems (can be a combination of technical, functional, or managerial experience)
Effective written and verbal communication skills with both IT resources and non-technical stakeholders
1+ years of IT management experience
6+ years in the Information Technology field
3+ years' experience providing technical support for data warehousing and analytical platforms
Experience working with either PeopleSoft or Oracle E-Business Suite data
Experience in a higher education work environment
