The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Rutgers University-Camden invites applications for a non-tenure track position of Teaching Instructor/Assistant Teaching Professor to begin in Fall 2020. Successful applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics; have demonstrated ability to effectively teach a wide range of courses and work with students; and show strong interest in interacting with current faculty on research projects. The normal teaching load will be twelve credit hours per semester which can reduced—subject to negotiation—with additional administrative responsibility. Service responsibilities include coordinating undergraduate courses; designing and administering placement tests; assisting with recruitment and retention; and mentoring and advising students.
