Under direction, aids principal investigators in the administration of surveys for research studies and the preparation of basic information for reports through the gathering of information from interviews and library research. Also performs clerical duties.
The incumbent will provide support for research projects under the Community Leadership Center (CLC), assist with the development of funding proposals by providing pre-proposal research and providing administrative support for strategic initiatives. Among the duties are conducting literature reviews, developing reference, transcribing interviews or focus group data, taking notes in meetings, assisting with assembling of documents for proposals and providing general clerical support such as scheduling, logistics coordination, and social media.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a high school/vocational school or equivalent, and experience compiling and organizing varied data. Two years of varied office experience. College-level study may be substituted for the office experience on a year for year basis. Requires the ability to record and maintain data in computerized and non-computerized formats. May require working knowledge and the ability to use basic spreadsheet, word-processing, database software, and/or email. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must have effective client service skills.
BA degree preferred. Candidate that is in the processing completing the BA degree and with interest in research and program development in a university setting is applicable.
Prefer applicants that are enrolled in graduate degree programs with interest on community development, education, and research.
Salary: Starting salary will be determined by the collective bargaining agreement salary schedule.
