Toward building on its capacity and expertise in the future of work and technology, the School of Human Resources & Labor Relations in the College of Social Science at Michigan State University seeks applicants for a full-time tenure system position at the Assistant Professor level in human resources and/or employment relations. This position is an academic-year (nine-month) appointment with a beginning date of August 16, 2020.
We are seeking candidates whose primary research interests and expertise focus on the human-technology interface at work, and the effects of rapidly emerging technologies on work and the workplace. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary group of faculty across the social sciences, engineering, computer science, and management examining the future of work and technology. Instructional responsibilities include some combination of teaching in our signature Master of Human Resources and Labor Relations program, our Human Capital and Society undergraduate major, and our doctoral program.
We seek applicants with demonstrated records of research and scholarship excellence and demonstrated records (or strong potential for success) in obtaining external funding to support their research agenda.

Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in human resource management, employment relations, business, sociology, political science, or a related discipline prior to the beginning date.
