The University for Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy's Program Evaluation and Research Unit (PERU) is seeking a qualified Quality Improvement Specialist (Research IV) to work with the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) projects with direct report to the MAT Program Director.
The position requires the incumbent to work in a highly independent manner. The Quality Improvement Specialist works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and would be responsible for coordinating data collection, overseeing data management, conducting analyses, and developing reports to improve the provision of MAT and other substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery services within various healthcare settings.
The Quality Improvement Specialist will interpret the results of analyses with participating sites and PERU through reports and presentations. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in the development of internal and external protocols, assisting with the implementation of evaluation-related program activities, and facilitating internal and external training to improve the quality of all evaluation activities. The incumbent must be able to work independently and provide guidance to project staff as needed.
Experience in substance abuse prevention is preferred. Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, statistical software programs, and web platforms is desired. Experience with R preferred. Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in a relevant field (public health, statistics, management, etc.) preferred. Bachelors with 3-5 years of experience or Masters with 2-3 years experience.
