The Center for Biomedical Image Computing and Analytics at the University of Pennsylvania is looking for an experienced software developer to work with researchers on biomedical image analysis. The preferred candidate will make a direct contribution to medical and scientific research by applying good software engineering practices to take algorithms from the research stage and implement them in polished applications that are deployable in a clinical setting.
Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's Degree preferred.
The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years professional experience in a Linux environment with open-source tools, knowledge of C, C++, Linux scripting (BASH), CMake, and have an understanding of source control versioning (SVN preferred) and testing as part of the software development lifecycle. The candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively and guide team members in the development process.
The candidate must have at least:
â¢ Three (3) years of experience with computational techniques in medical image analysis.Â
â¢ Three (3) years of experience development of medical image analysis software in C++ with ITK and VTK;
â¢ Three (3) years of experience using source control, versioning, and testing during the software development lifecycle;
â¢ Three (3) years of experience with GUI development for presenting results in a visual format and creating graphical front-ends to command-line applications.Â
