Recruiting/Player Personnel Coordinator Responsibilities: 50% Assist in the recruitment of student athletes for basketball including coordinating recruiting events; developing a yearlong plan to actively track all potential recruits; develop a data base of candidates; promoting the University of Minnesota and the basketball program by developing recruiting material (emails, mailers, flyers, etc.) for all potential athletes; manage a film library for all recruits; give tours of campus and athletic facilities to all athletes. 40% Assist with the video operations of the men’s basketball program. Assisting in advance scouting and film breakdown and evaluation of opponents. Coordinate film exchange with opposing teams. Complete video evaluation for current players. Creating film edits for recruits during on-campus visits. Assisting the coaching staff in preparation for practice and games via film. 10% Assist with other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Head Coach, Assistant Coaches and Director of Basketball Operations. Work with PC and MAC and advanced film editing software programs, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Access, Photo Shop, Outlook, Filemaker Pro.
Required: High School Diploma/GED and four years of related office experience. Training/education may be substituted for some of the years of experience. Computer experience required. Know and understand NCAA rules related specifically to basketball recruiting. Previous NCAA Division 1 coaching/video experience is required. Preferred: Experience working with advanced film editing software programs.
