The associate director independently plans, coordinates, and implements GEAR UP MOSAIC2/SOAR2 program content, policies, and procedures along with supervising 12+ GEAR UP Site Directors. In addition, this position monitors, approves, maintains, and initiates expenditures on program budgets and ensures all program expenditures and programs are in compliance with federal regulations, including EDGAR and OMB circulars.
Bachelor’s degree in education, youth development, counseling, a STEM field or a closely related field.
Three years’ experience in an educational setting addressing the needs of nontraditional and/or underrepresented student populations OR an equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
Demonstrated supervisory experience.
Experience working in an office setting, demonstrating progressive responsibilities and ability to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to manage program data including participation and demographic data.
Experience using Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and/or similar software applications to prepare correspondence, create/update reports, data processing, etc.
Master's degree in education, youth development, counseling, a STEM field or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience administering a federal grant program.
Demonstrated experience working as a GEAR UP site director.
Demonstrated ability to work with community organizations, educational and social service resources to meet objectives and goals.
