Stockton University seeks applicants for a 10-month, tenure track Assistant Professor position for the Master of Arts in Education program (MAED) Alternate Route to a Certificate of Eligibility (CE), to begin September 1, 2020. All appointments are contingent on the appropriation of funds by the Legislature. Nationally accredited by CAEP and licensed by the New Jersey Department of Education, the MAED-CE Program provides support to graduate students enrolled in New Jersey’s Provisional Teacher Program (Alternate Route/CE). The Assistant Professor will deliver graduate level pedagogy, curriculum, and assessment courses, undergraduate level general education courses, and will serve as a preceptor in the School of Education. The position will remain available each year, commensurate with MAED program enrollments.
The School of Education (SOE) at Stockton employs twenty full-time faculty and over 50 adjunct faculty, and enrolls approximately 1000 students in the following undergraduate and graduate programs: Teacher Education (Baccalaureate), Master of Arts in Education, Master of Arts in Instructional Technology, and Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership. In addition, the Southern Regional Institute & Educational Technology Training Center and the Stockton Center for Economic and Financial Literacy are part of the School of Education.
Offering courses in pedagogy, curriculum, and assessment, general studies, and related areas
Serving as preceptor to students
Participating in scholarly professional development activities as appropriate to the discipline
Providing service to the university, community, and profession
Performing other duties under the direction of the Program Director, Dean of the School of Education and/or the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Doctoral degree or ABD in an instructional field
New Jersey Standard Certification in at least one area; and
A minimum of five years’ documented experience of success in New Jersey public schools as a mentor, instructional coach, department chair, or curriculum supervisor or other K-12 leadership experience.
Experience teaching in a higher education setting
Additional New Jersey certifications in two or more instructional areas
Experience supervising and evaluating effective teaching in a New Jersey public school within the past five years (TEACH-NJ).
