Utilizes multiple quantitative and qualitative datasets from a variety of sources and interprets results using various techniques. Compiles reports, charts, and tables based on established statistical methods. Assists in the preparation and delivery of decision support reports to both internal and external researchers. Trains and supervises staff and students in related research tasks.
The Mesulam Center for Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease is a multi-departmental component of the Feinberg School of Medicine. We specialize in the clinical care and scientific study of neurological diseases that interfere with cognition and behavior. Areas of emphasis include age-related memory impairments and dementias. Our three interacting missions are to investigate the causes and clinical characteristics of neurodegenerative diseases, to ensure that our patients are the beneficiaries of the latest advances, and to explore the neural foundations of behavior and cognition in health and disease.
This position is within Dr. Emily Rogalski’s laboratory, which focuses on aging and dementia research including Alzheimer’s, primary progressive aphasia, frontotemporal dementia and SuperAging. This position will work in a collaborative environment to assist with the coordination, processing and analysis of MR and PET neuroimaging data. Prior experience with neuroimaging software suites such as FreeSurfer, SPM, FSL and AFNI is required. Proficiency in coding and statistical packages is preferred.
Develop standardized templates, policies, and procedures for internal and external reporting.
Designs and prepares documentation for qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
Completes a variety of statistical analyses using appropriate data and software
Merges data from multiple sources in preparation for analysis.
Interprets results of analyses for use in reports and presentations
Completes data cleaning and organizes data files for analysis.
Reviews data and Identifies quality issues
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience. Experience with Python, Shell Scripting, Linux, Mac OS X, Microsoft Office, High Performance Computing, Box Collaborative Storage, stong organizational skills, clear code documentation, comfortable in collaborative environment.
Degree in computer science, neuroscience, psychology, biomedical engineering or related field. Exposure to neuroimaging data analysis software suites
Experience using Freesurfer, FSL, AFNI, SPM or other neuroimaging platforms
Experience with data analysis/data visualization using R, SPSS, Tableau or other statistical packages
Proficiency in coding using Shell script, Python or other scripting languages
