The Center for Talent Development is seeking a Program Assistant 2 to start immediately. The Program Assistant 2 for Student Admissions, Advising and Assessment is the first contact for potential and admitted CTD students. This role acts as a resource to students and families as they move through the admissions process and register for courses. This role responds to general inquiries, processes and reviews applications and test registrations, makes admissions decisions based on standard protocol, and escalates applications to the admissions manager as needed. This position also participates in transmission of assessment data, tracking of financial aid and refund requests, and outreach communications.
First-point-of-contact for calls, emails, walk ins, basicadvising regarding program and course selection
Train/supervise Work study and temporary staff members (seasonal) on the application process and managing correspondence.
Assist with development, testing, and implementation ofapplication materials and other admissions related tools(requires comfort/facility with WB, MyCTD, Tableau,Box, etc.).
Transmit student registration and application data to appropriate departments and agencies.
Serve as site coordinator/proctor for admissions and assessment dates as needed andassist with mailings.Admissions:Intake and review program applications and test registrations (all programs, including NUMATS).
Make basic application decisions and initial course placements.
Follow up on missing materials and forward applications needing special review to supervisor.
Process and follow up on financial aid requests, withdrawals, and refunds.
Marketing & Communications:
Liaison to marketing, communications, school, and family services to assist with website, blogs, social media, etc. as related to pathwaysadvisingand admissions.
Position is required to work some weekends in lieu of normal work week schedule.
A high school diploma or equivalent
2 years’ experience providing administrative support or other relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of word processing, email systems
Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheet and database software programs
Experience working in an educational setting
Excellent written communication skills and customer service/problem solving
