The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a College Staff Officer to serve as the Dean's Executive Assistant to manage the daily workflow and day-to-day operations of the Office of the Dean. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to providing high-level professional and confidential administrative support to the Dean, Associate Dean for Research, and Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration; managing the flow of information from the Dean's office to the department chairs and program directors; drafting correspondence on behalf of the Dean for the Provost and President and other executive-level positions; coordinating and attending Executive Committee meetings and Council of Chairs meetings, following up on matters as necessary; ensuring the Dean meets all deadlines; working with the Dean and Business Center on administrative and professorship appointments, drafting letters accordingly and preparing appointment packets; and coordinating various College initiatives and events.
Internal Employee Being Considered (IEBC).
Outstanding verbal, written and electronic communication skills; exceptional organizational skills; discretion; leadership; judgment; planning; and management. Well rounded working knowledge of UK Administrative, Governing and Business Regulations, and College of Arts & Sciences policies/procedures.
