The Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication at Iowa State University seeks experienced professionals to teach Public Relations and Advertising courses. Lecturers teach undergraduate students in small group and large lecture formats and skills courses are taught in computer labs with 18-20 Mac computers.
Teaching needs are for courses such as Advertising Principles, Research and Strategic Planning for Advertising and Public Relations, Account Management, Campaigns (Ad or PR), Public Relations Techniques and related courses. Initial term is one semester, beginning 1/1/2020.Â Renewal parameters determined by performance and department need with understanding that assigned courses may differ from those listed above.
The adherence to programmatic goals and curriculum objectives is required, as the school is accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC).
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Masterâs degree in related field;
Two years of professional experience in advertising, public relations, or related field.
Demonstrated teaching excellence in higher education;
Demonstrated professional experience in appropriate field;
Advising or mentoring experience;
Evidence of ability to work with diverse student, faculty, and staff populations.
