The Center for Nondestructive Evaluation (CNDE) and the Microelectronics Research Center (MRC) at Iowa State University are seeking applications for an Administrative Specialist I. This position will support the Applied Sciences Complex, including faculty, researchers, and students. The incumbent will be responsible for assigning graduate student space; assisting in equipment inventory/surplus processes; managing student check-in/check-out processes; coordinating the ASC shuttle; managing shipping and receiving needs; and assisting with coordinating visitors and meetings, including logistical needs. This position will also work with FPM and ITS regarding facility needs, keys, locks, telecom/data requirements, and special projects. Collection of fee-for-service data and relaying these details to ISD for processing is also a responsibility of this position.Â The Administrative Specialist I will interface with academic departments and non-academic units across campus to meet the needs of the complex.
The successful candidate will excel at organization, have high attention to detail, be an excellent communicator with internal and external stakeholders, be proactive, have excellent time management abilities, strive for continuous process improvement, and be able to manage multiple priorities.
