Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Specific responsibilities include:
Oversee and manage existing research data and the underlying schemas.
Responsible to create summaries, reports, and listings of study data, as required for weekly and occasional reports to faculty, staff and sponsors.
Oversee and maintain the existing player contact database.
Anticipate and determine data sources that meet upcoming project needs and work with the technical team to implement solutions.
Lead on the acquisition of potential data sources and follow-on steps of cleaning, aggregating and importing data from a variety of sources (proprietary, internally generated, third-party), merging, de-duplicating, and validating.
Develop and maintain data ingestion processes for data collected understudy protocols in collaboration with research and technical teams.
Responsible for performing data quality and integrity analysis for all data sets gathered and produced as part of the study.
Produce cleaned final datasets for analytical use by internal and external investigators pulling from multiple sources and merging across studies.
Responsible to develop and write technical documentation of programs and datasets for use by internal and external investigators.
This is a term position supported by a grant that ends on March 31, 2021, with strong potential for renewal.

Union: 00 - Non Union, Exempt or Temporary
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Applied Math, Computer Science, Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, or a related quantitative field; 5 or more years of experience in data management in healthcare, public health or research setting; Experience with SQL. Experience using R and/or SAS.
Master's degree in public health or related field preferred. Experience working in a Linux environment and familiarity with Linux shell scripting; Experience with PostgreSQL; Ability to create user friendly interfaces to help users get the data they need (for example: Reports in SAS, R or similar tools); Excellent organizational skills; Experience handling multiple large datasets; Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly; Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines; Ability to work across teams and to manage projects among multiple constituencies with diplomacy and patience; Ability to write accurate technical documentation in English; Prior experience designing research data collection forms (REDCap) or CRMs. Python and/or AWS experience preferred.
