Research Support - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
The chosen candidate will work closely with multiple teams including the Accounting and Research and Operations teams for ComArtSci to support the college’s research administration needs. The ideal candidate will be flexible, creative, a self-starter, a team player, proactive, a quick learner, enthusiastic and an excellent communicator.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in business administration, finance, or a research-related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in research administration in one or more of the research process areas of pre- or post-award processes, such as regulatory administration; experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. The job also requires: completion of Essentials of Research Administration at MSU certificate series or equivalent within 1 year of hire.
Proven experience with database management (e.g. Kuali Coeus, Kuali Financial Systems), analysis, and reporting tools in Business Intelligence, Query Studio, OSP/CGA Tools.
Experience working with OSP/CGA, federal, and foundation granting agencies.
Essentials of Research Administration Certification
Experience developing proposals for research.
Experience with Adobe Professional, Grants.gov, and Fastlane
Knowledge of University policies and procedures
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills
