Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.
Serve as an ambassador for campus when interacting with, assisting customers and the general public.
Assist customers with parking access issues.
Provide support in the field to the Special Events Coordinator in implementing large special event parking operations. This can include: equipment management, field personnel training and supervision, data collection, traffic management and cash handling.
Independently run smaller special event parking operations, particularly in the mornings.
Provide back-up for Alumni Square Garage operations, particularly in the mornings. This can include: inspecting the garage, responding to customer service calls, maintaining equipment or managing operations in the absence of Customer Service stationed at the garage.
When not supporting events, enforce parking regulations.
Issue citations to vehicles parked in violation or parking regulations.
Immobilize and/or request tows for vehicles as warranted.
Assist with revenue collections.
Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for Success
Attention to detail
Ability to manage irate customers in a professional manner.
Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time
High school diploma or equivalent.
Customer Service experience.
Computer experience (Windows).
Money handling experience.
Hourly Rate: $12.00
