This full-time exempt status position at the Center forTransportation Research of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville will befunded through a renewable annual contract with the Tennessee Highway SafetyOffice (THSO) of the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security. The duties of this Nashville-based position includeassisting the THSO with coordination, facilitation, administration andoperational activities of the state's behavioral highway safety programs. Thisincludes but is not limited to the development, management and monitoring of THSOfunded grants. Work tasks will includemonitoring assigned grants' progress, completion of on-site and desk monitoringreports, and the provision of technical assistance/feedback to grant fundedagencies. As one of several program administrator positions, this specific positionwill require the development of the skills necessary for the operation of aweb-based grant management system. The position could require in-state travelon up to 35% of work days and out-of-state travel on about 10% of work daysannually. Additionally, weekend work and/or travel may occasionally be required.
