This position works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and reports directly to the Executive Director of the Southeast Center for Education in the Arts (SCEA). The primary purpose of the position is to coordinate and direct the general administration of SCEA: monthly budget maintenance, managing the SCEA calendar, marketing support, communications, facility usage, and other functions of the center.
This position assumes the majority of the administrative responsibilities for the Southeast Center for Education in the Arts by providing departmental administrative tasks including:
Monthly budget maintenance for the department, each grant program or contract under SCEA, and generating monthly expenditure reports for the SCEA Executive Director; functioning as the purchasing agent for SCEA; maintains and generates monthly Procurement Card reconciliations in IRIS; reviewing and/or preparing service contracts to ensure compliance with the fiscal policies of the University and State of Tennessee; serving as the payroll coordinator for SCEA; reviewing and/or preparing, submitting, and maintaining the payroll in IRIS; ensuring that the annual inventory for equipment is completed.
Overseeing the SCEA's program calendar, developing project management timelines, scheduling meetings; serving as back up coordinator for travel arrangements and managing itineraries for the SCEA Executive Director and SCEA Directors
Managing confidential material which includes the SCEA Executive Director's files and the center's personnel files
Completing all IRIS, CPI, Faculty Enlight, EMS and Contracts entries
