The University of Pittsburgh's Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is seeking a qualified candidate with strong marketing and writing skills as well as special events and public relations experience to oversee communications efforts with various programs and events meant to engage University investigators and the greater research community including potential research participants.
As a member of the CTSI marketing team, the communications specialist will create and execute communications/marketing plans for various programs while working with internal stakeholders to assure the programs' success.
This will include development of written promotional materials both print and electronic (press releases, direct mail, e-mails, social, blog, etc.), oversight of distribution, plan implementation, and evaluation and analyze of the plans' effectiveness. In addition, the communications specialist will promote new studies and study results that will result in increased overall participation in University research programs and work with internal and external agencies to foster and cultivate programs and efforts that maintain and develop positive relationships with many and varied audiences.
The candidate should be a creative thinker who thinks outside the box and who plays well with others OR who interacts and works successfully as part of an established team. Experience in media relations, Sales Force, Pardot and/or similar programs, as well as a sense of humor, are a plus.
2-5 years experience preferred.
