Serves as resource to staff regarding data entry, maintenance, and results. Coordinates incoming data for accuracy and integrity, assists with complex data preparation, analyzes data, and creates reports. Ensures associated administrative tasks such as documentation, editing of code books and manuals, etc. are completed.
Position serves as the primary point of contact for McCormickConnect users, including students, gradleaders, and ECD staff. Identifies areas for improvement and facilitates requests with McCormick IT, central IT and external vendors.
Identifies and assesses customer data needs.
Assists in identifying organizational area's data integration and related records solutions.
Collaborates on a variety of data management projects including variable definitions, storage, etc.
Address gaps in operational processes, data management and data analysis; propose solutions and present to director. Assist in the implementation of solutions were necessary.
Recommend and implement data-driven changes and improvements to ECD programs and services to better assure that unit objectives are met.
Provides reports and data that contribute to thought leadership and development of strategic initiatives that meet the objectives of ECD programs and services.
Ensures that all data is obtained and verified for subsequent analysis.
Provides updates and summaries regarding statistics.
Provides administrative support to organizational area.
Presents findings with senior management and recommends relevant actions.
Data management for McCormickConnect including, but not limited to: importing data, reporting and data clean-up, end user access to system
Coordinate with McC IT and GradLeaders to manage overall database management and improve processes, including implementation of an API, ensure IP is whitelisted as server and/or system updates happen, in order to guarantee student access is maintained, and email is routed appropriately from the system
Runs and distributes standard scheduled reports.
Maintains and updates report inventory.
Develops standardized templates, policies and procedures for internal and external reporting.
Develops queries and quality metrics.
Analyzes and interprets results of database
Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis.
Archives complex data structures to prepare final catalog of data sets.
Performs advanced cleaning/formatting tasks of datasets.
Process improvement for day-to-day workflows such as student, administrative and operational, including but not limited to:
Updating screen messages, email templates; Integrating new system changes with ECD processes
Completes data cleaning and organizes data files for analysis
Reviews data and identifies quality issues.
Presents findings in an appropriate manner.
Communication & Training
Coordinate with McC IT for effective management of this process, which includes: understanding how information flows between SES, MAS and McCormickConnect, manage SSO authentication, troubleshoot issues, and maintain alumni profiles
Train staff of McCormickConnect and reporting tool
Performs other duties as assigned.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
4 years' data entry of similar experience is required.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
2 years functional/business/system analysis or other relevant experience required.
