This position provides a point of contact for faculty, students and staff in their use of LMS software by providing direct assistance via phone, email, walk-ins, dedicated office hours, teleconferencing, appointments in faculty offices, and forwarded support tickets. Participates in testing associated with various upgrades impacting the campus LMS. Supports other instructional technologies as needed.
BA or BS from an accredited university or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
Two years' experience supporting instructors in the use of a Learning Management System (LMS).
Ability to follow university and office policies for the LMS.
Technical skills to learn and use enterprise and division information systems and tools.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels.
Ability to prioritize duties when faced with interruptions, distractions and a fluctuating workload.
Strong commitment to customer service, strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy in all situations and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to learn and implement relevant policies and procedures, and to communicate changes to staff.
Understanding of higher education.
Ability to work in an environment with many simultaneous requests for service and to prioritize tasks and to communicate those priorities with tact to end users.
Instructional Design coursework or experience.
Experience using and supporting Panopto, Poll Everywhere, Turning Point, Wordpress.
