Essential Job Duties:
This is a 12-month tenure track position in the Department of Agricultural and Human Sciences at North Carolina State University. This position is 75% effort in Academics and 25% effort in Research. Essential job duties include:
Develop new and teach current undergraduate and graduate level courses in Agricultural and Extension Education, using both face-to-face and distance delivery methods.
Advise students in departmental degree and certificate programs.
Work with agriculture teachers, state staff, and stakeholders on AEE programming.
Collaborate with agricultural and extension programs at the college and university level.
Conduct research related to agricultural and extension education.
Secure external funding for research and development activities.
Serve on departmental, College, and University committees, as appropriate.
Service to appropriate professional organizations.

Requires doctor’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience.
Effective oral and written communication skills for graduate students and lay and professional audiences.
Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, team building, problem-solving ability, networking skills, and ability to work with diverse groups.
Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience at the secondary level and demonstration of an understanding of the land grant university mission.
Demonstrated grant writing skills, and familiarity with electronic media and distance-education.
Required license or certification:
A valid drivers license is required for travel. NC drivers license required within 60 days of hire and must be maintained.
